Tapawingo Means - A Place Of Joy!

Why Tap?

Campers gather outside at Camp Tapawingo, Maine.
Tapawingo and the unique values of Maine, lives in and through each camper, teaching her to be her authentic self, to be authentically “ME!”

With 130 campers, our intimate camp community fosters connections and deep relationships. We cheer each other on, we hold one another accountable to our philosophy and culture, we tap into shared experiences and celebrate our differences.

“Camp songs are the thread that binds all Tap Campers–past and present. Our age group met up for a thirty year reunion and the words were ingrained in our hearts forever. Tapawingo is a part of who we are–reflected in our nicknames, friendships, songs, memories, and the good times we had.”
